MEETING OF THE CHAIRMAN OF THE HALK MASLAKHATY OF THE MILLI GENGESH OF TURKMENISTAN WITH THE PRESIDENT OF THE KYRGYZ REPUBLIC

On November 11, 2022, the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, invited as an honored guest to the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States, met with the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov.

Conveying warm greetings from President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Hero-Arkadag expressed satisfaction with the opportunity to discuss in a personal conversation with the Kyrgyz leader issues of both multilateral cooperation and prospects for bilateral interstate cooperation.

During the meeting, a high level of political-diplomatic, economic and cultural relations between the two countries was stated, which are actively developing on the basis of the principles of equality, mutual respect and good neighborliness and in recent years have reached a qualitatively new level.

As noted, the successful development of the multifaceted Turkmen-Kyrgyz dialogue is largely facilitated by regular negotiations and visits at the state and government levels, which makes it possible to discuss a wide range of issues of mutual interest.

In this context, Hero-Arkadag emphasized the special, immeasurably high role of inter-parliamentary contacts that contribute to the intensification of Turkmen-Kyrgyz relations.

During the meeting, key areas of cooperation were discussed, taking into account the existing prospects and modern realities. Trade and economic relations were named among the priority vectors.

The interlocutors emphasized the importance of strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties, expressing their confidence that Turkmenistan and the Kyrgyz Republic have great opportunities for joint work and exchange of experience in the field of culture, science, education and sports.

At the end of the meeting, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Milli Gengesh Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President Sadyr Zhaparov, once again emphasizing the inviolability of traditionally friendly relations between Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan, addressed the peoples of both countries with the wishes of peace, well-being and prosperity.
