On the Meeting with the Executive Director of the Turkmenistan–U.S. Business Council

On June 3, 2026, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held a meeting with Eric Stewart, Executive Director of the Turkmenistan–U.S. Business Council, who arrived in Ashgabat on a working visit leading a representative delegation of American companies.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the activities of the Turkmenistan–U.S. Business Council as an effective platform for strengthening business contacts and expanding cooperation between representatives of the public and private sectors of the two countries.

The sides noted the successful outcome of the roundtable meeting of representatives of the Council held earlier today in Ashgabat, which was attended by representatives of around ten U.S. companies, including Climate Compass, John Deere, Westport Trading and others. The Turkmen side at the roundtable was headed by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan N. Atagulyyev.

At the meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, it was particularly emphasized that the work of the Council contributes to strengthening interstate relations and developing mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation between Turkmenistan and the United States of America.

The sides confirmed their interest in further expanding partnership in key sectors of the economy, including transport and logistics, energy, oil and gas, agriculture, and other areas.

On the same day, representatives of the Turkmenistan–U.S. Business Council held a number of bilateral meetings at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan.
