A briefing on the First Caspian Economic Forum was organized in the Republic of Uzbekistan

On April 30, 2019, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Uzbekistan in the conference hall of the embassy organized a briefing dedicated to the first Caspian Economic Forum, which will be held on August 12, 2019 in the “Avaza” National Tourist Zone of Turkmenistan.

The event was attended by the representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Transport, the Institute for Strategic and Interregional Researches, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the mass-media representatives of Uzbekistan.

The briefing participants were informed that initiating perspective cooperation projects in the Caspian Sea, in 2014, during the IV Summit of the heads of the Caspian states, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov proposed an initiative on preparing two new agreements in the field of transport and trade-economic cooperation in the Caspian, as well as holding Caspian Economic Forum.
