Ambassador of Turkmenistan participates in New York event on the Trans-Caspian Trade Route and TRIPP

On September 23, 2026, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the United States Esen Aydogdyyev participated in the event “Prosperity Through Peace: Investing in the Trans-Caspian Trade Route and TRIPP,” held in New York on the margins of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

Organized at the initiative of the U.S. Department of State, the event featured remarks by U.S. Presidential Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and was chaired and moderated by Senior Advisor Aryeh Lightstone. It brought together senior U.S. officials, representatives of Central Asian and South Caucasus countries, and representatives of more than 40 companies.

Discussions focused on strengthening regional connectivity, expanding transport and trade links, attracting private investment, and advancing cooperation along the Trans-Caspian Trade Route and TRIPP.

During the panel discussion, Ambassador Aydogdyyev outlined Turkmenistan’s approach to developing regional transport connectivity and highlighted the country’s important role in facilitating transit and trade between Central Asia, the Caspian region, and international markets.
