EMBASSY OF TURKMENISTAN IN WASHINGTON DC HOSTED TURKMEN HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS WHO COMPLETED THE FLEX PROGRAM IN THE USA
On June 17, 2026, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Washington, D.C. welcomed a group of Turkmen students returning home after successfully completing the 2025–2026 FLEX (Future Leaders Exchange) program year at U.S. high schools.
Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the United States Esen Aydogdyyev congratulated the students on successfully completing the program, wished them continued academic success, and emphasized the important role of educational exchanges in strengthening mutual understanding, friendship, and people-to-people ties between Turkmenistan and the United States.
During the meeting, a presentation dedicated to the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence and the designation of 2026 as the Year of “Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses” was delivered by the Embassy.
The presentation also highlighted the current state of Turkmenistan–U.S. relations, recent high-level contacts, cooperation within the C5+1 format, and the Embassy’s activities aimed at promoting political, economic, educational, and cultural ties between the two countries.
The meeting concluded with an exchange of views with the FLEX participants.
